Reanna Esmail is the Outreach and Engagement Librarian at Cornell University Library. Working in Olin Library’s Research and Learning Services Department, she coordinates library orientation, oversees Arts & Sciences advising sessions, and supports other outreach efforts across campus. Reanna is also the Library Liaison to the Latinx Studies Program and the Asian American Studies Program. As both a library instructor and outreach coordinator, she is particularly interested in critical pedagogy and providing services for various campus communities, especially those that have historically been underserved and underrepresented. She is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she received a Master of Science in Library and Information Science. In addition to her MS, Reanna has an MA in English from the Freie Universität Berlin, where she wrote a thesis on cult film, post-humanism, and post-colonial studies. She received her BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
