Library Freedom Project for NJ ACRL

May 1 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

On Friday, May 1st, New Jersey Academic Librarians will host a virtual presentation by Tess Wilson from the Library Freedom Project. Intellectual freedom and privacy are core values of the information professions and basic rights in our democratic society that are being challenged at an unprecedented level in libraries of all kinds across the country. Join us for a presentation from Library Freedom Project to gain strategies for standing up for our values during crisis conditions and organizing with your fellow library workers. Using LFP’s harm reduction approach, Tess Wilson will also share practical ways to teach our communities about online privacy, the risks involved with sharing personal data, how to develop and teach a security mindset, and more.
