Shelley is an Adult/Teen Librarian at the Free Library of Philadelphia. In response to the phenomenon of online discussion boards dedicated to stalking and harassing transgender people, Shelley created “Stalker-Proofing 101” a free guide on how anyone can protect themselves from online stalkers. Shelley has previously worked on free and open source software projects with a focus on anti-harassment tools, user privacy, and safety. She graduated with an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Simmons University; and a B.A. from Hampshire College. She uses she/her and they/them pronouns.
