In memoriam.
Michelle Nitto was a cherished member of Library Freedom Project who passed away unexpectedly in November 2021. Michelle was a vibrant, talented & unique soul, a cherished friend & comrade, & her loss is deeply felt. She loved zines, punk shows, mutual aid, making art, & her work in libraries. In her job at Brooklyn Public Library, Michelle started a zine about local free food and mutual aid in different Brooklyn neighborhoods. She delivered her zines to local bodegas for easy access.
We miss Michelle terribly and lift up her memory in our work.
