Marisol Moreno Ortiz holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University and Master of Arts in English degree from Portland State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Writing Minor from Oregon State University. She currently works as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Clark College. She has been a panelist in the session, “The diverse workforce,” at the Internet Librarian International (ILL) Conference 2018 in London, England, and presented a poster at the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) 2019 conference. Marisol completed an eighteen-month appointment at Oregon State University Libraries and Press (OSULP) on June 2019 as their first Diversity Scholar in their Diversity Scholars Program (DSP). She is committed to equity, inclusion, and diversity in the library profession. Marisol is an advocate for student mental health and privacy. She is also a creative writer and poet.
