Marisa Reichert

Springfield, MA

Marisa has worked in public libraries since 2014, and prior to that, she obtained her MSLIS from Simmons College after completing her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Humanities from New College of Florida, where she wrote an undergraduate thesis on fairy tales of the European canon as sites of women’s power and subversion. Her interests, academic and recreational, include folktales and storytelling, fandom and fanworks, intersectional feminism and disability studies, and fighting the worldsuck with her heart, her brain, and her calculator. She is also very enthusiastic about speculative fiction (both consuming it and attempting to write it), cats, zines, stamp collecting, and the Animorphs books.
