My name is Asako Yoshida, my pronouns are She/Her. I am a liaison library in Social Science disciplines at the University of Manitoba in Central Canada. I’m concerned about the prevalent surveillance capitalism and digital platforms that increasingly dominate the realm of our social interactions and shape our society. It’s encroaching into our library domain which commercial information service vendors historically dominate. I am looking foreward to interacting with the ideas, resources, and similar-minded people through the Crash Course.
