Meredith Farkas is a reference and instruction librarian at Portland Community College where she currently leads the Library’s curriculum and learning assessment work. She is Past-President of ACRL-Oregon and a member of the Board. Meredith writes the monthly column “In Practice” for American Libraries, where she gets to rant about issues near and dear to her heart. She was honored in 2009 with the LITA/Library Hi Tech award for Outstanding Communication in Library and Information Technology and in 2014 with the ACRL Instruction Section Innovation Award.
