Ryan Tackabury started his library career by volunteering to work in his High School library. Little did he know this one act would set him down a career path that his whole life up to this point would follow!
Ryan graduated from the University of Michigan – Flint with an English degree and returned to receive his Master of Public Administration degree. Ryan then attended Wayne State University to receive his Master of Library and Information Science in 2018. Ryan has worked at the Genesee District Library for 14 years, having started as a Page, and now working as the Digital Services Librarian, teaching computer classes, providing tech support, and managing the library website. Ryan resides in Flint, Michigan with his wife Liz, also a Librarian, and their two pugs.
