Frans Albarillo

Frans Albarillo is a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Brooklyn College, City University of New York. He is currently an Associate Professor whose research interest includes immigrant students, scholarly communications in non-English languages, and academic libraries. Immigrants, including immigrant students, are subject to many kinds of surveillance and privacy intrusions. As a member of LFI, Frans wants to increase his understanding of these issues and his ability to be an advocate for immigrant students and the unique issues they face in higher education. Frans lives with his partner and several cats in Brooklyn, New York.  In his spare time, He enjoys running and backcountry camping and riding his bike.
